1-1. INTRODUCTION

Uncharted Waters is a historic nautical game developed by Tecmo Koei. Ever since 1991’s original Uncharted Waters game, the series has been well-loved by a wide range of players. Known for its rich historical plots and detailed setting, players will live, work and play the past, rewriting the 15th century to make their own history. Players may choose from among 6 nationalities: England, Dutch Republic, Ancient Régime in France, Spanish Empire, Kingdom of Portugal, and Republic of Venice. After selecting a basic class (adventurer, merchant or soldier), players will then choose from several different occupations

1-2. SYNOPSIS

In the year 1453 AD, Constantinople, the capital of Byzantium Empire, was taken. The people of the Christian empire were terrified of the Turk's formidable military prowess and at the same time disappointed that they lost their only passage for Eastern trading.

Meanwhile opposite the Eastern European region no longer the superpower it once was far to the West the Iberia Peninsula celebrated the birth of a new military state called Spain, a result of revolution. Hand in hand with Portugal she immediately launched a campaign of utmost importance-defeating the Muslim forces.

Flag ship Portugal was forced to explore new routes around the African continent pressured by the legendary Christian Empire on the East and Muslim powers. Direct trade with India was of utmost importance. Spain was also determined to find new ways to the East far beyond the Atlantic Ocean entrusting Christopher Columbus for the task.

Buy or build vessels like the Hansa cog, Baltic galleon, Spanish carrack, Turkish galley, and English frigate. Upgrade, enhance, modify and decorate your ships with thousands of items. Strengthen Your Nation to Conquer The World Along with the 6 major nations, there are hundreds of neutral cities to explore as you weave your way into economy and politics. Investing lots of gold into a neutral city will boost your influence, or simply take up arms against the owner and conquer the city! Epic 100 Vs 100 PvP Sea Fights! When war breaks out, over 200 ships will engage in massive Player versus Player battles. Unique monthly events will inspire even more large-scale sea fits. Plus, you can always start up fights while sailing… just watch out for the pirates! Customize Your Home and an Entire Island Customize your home by decorating it with the gorgeous furniture and art from your conquests.
