Welcome to the Advanced Maritime Academy. Here you will be learning many new things while still using what you have learned thus far on a daily basis. The first course you'll be taking is one on Hostile Waters from Instructor Maximilian. You should be able to find him waiting for you somewhere nearby the Port.
You can choose two weapons for a land battle and use items that have been pre-registered. You can use your main weapon by equipping it, but an additional weapon and items must be registered as a Land Battle Item in the Equipment Screen.
Techs for Land Battle:
Each of the three occupations has its own favoured tech that, when used, can help mount a formidable attack. Each weapon has a compatible distance, so bear that in mind during conflict. Next thing to do is attack the Bandits in Naples!
Successful subjugation of Naples' remaining warriors:
The surviving Soldiers of Naples have been defeated. Go and see Instructor Maximilian in front of the gate to the suburbs of Naples.
Tactics incorporating items:
You have completed a lecture about land battles. Tactical use of items helps accumulate stronger power and greater strength. From now on you will probably need to study about the effects of each item.
Instructor Maximilian has taught you what a land battle entails. Much like a sea battle, there are many factors involved in land battles, so from now on you will need to devote some study to the matter.
Next up is a course designed for Merchants only. In this class you will be learning about the very core of trading, the trade of noted regional goods. This is the foundation of what it means to be an advanced Merchant, so be sure to pay close attention. Talk to me when you're ready to start
Among trade goods, there are local products known as specialties. Specialities are highly valued in other regions. The greater the distance between a producing centre and the market, the higher the value it commands. After Preparing for the lecture to start, talk to the Instructor of the Commerce Course.
Famous local products of various regions:
Merchant Course Instructor Conversation:
It is seems that each region has many specialties. Take a long route, and try to carry as many of them back as possible, but watch out you don't get too short on money. You'll hear a tip on trade specialties next. After preparing, talk to the Instructor of the Commerce Course.
The knack of trade in famed local products:
Merchant Course Instructor Conversation:
To get extra experience and fame, you should buy an assortment of fifty or more specialities. A Purchase Order can be attained via a successful Haggle. Try this out if you get the chance.
Specialty goods trade and synergy:
Instructor Mutu, the head of senior class in The Commerce Course, has taught tips about trade and purchase orders. Among Trade Goods there are also, Specialties that can help you get rich quick. Always keep them in mind!
The next course is about Production and is for Merchants only. You've already learned an intermediate level of the basics of Production, but now you have to learn how to apply those skills. Speak with me when you're ready to begin.
Instructor Mutu, the head of the advanced class for the Commerce Course has taught some instructions held by the townspeople. The Shipwright in Genoa has it, so go and take a look.
Are you an apprentice from the senior school? I suppose you've come for a look at my instructions. This is called Mast Top and it's used for making ships' materials. I'll show anybody, just as long as their craft skill level is high enough. Bring your own materials and I'll show you too.
Regarding the recipe books townsmen have:
If you have raw ingredients and skill at hand, production can still go ahead, even if the instructions, or the means to instructions, have not been attained. With only raw ingredients, skill, and help from a townsperson who has access to the instructions, you can produce a lot of material. The instructions also contain secret instructions that remain invisible unless you raise your skill level higher.
The next course is about Investment, another Merchant only lesson. I'm sure you've heard the word investment many times before, but have you ever actually tried it? If you want to make it as a Merchant you'll need to know how to Invest, so listen up and take notes if you have to. Talk to me when you're ready to begin.
Instructor Mutu, the head of the Commerce Course's advanced class, has taught you about investments. The town needs financial investments, so go and talk to a Town Official or Minister. This does not include the domains of other countries. Investments can only be made in your own country, domains, headquarters, or neutral ports. Once you fully comprehend the details of the lecture, talk to the Instructor of The Commerce Course.
Effects and merits of investment:
Instructor Mutu, the head of the Commerce Course's advanced class, has taught you about investments. This has an effect not only on the town but also on one's self. In either case, it is important for life as a Sailor. At first, try investing little by little while keeping in mind your capacity to pay.
Epic Investment Battle:
An Epic Investment Battle is when a country has requested investment action on a large scale from the town. This is different from a regular investment but try joining in someday.
Investments in town:
Instructor Mutu, the head of the Commerce Course's advanced class, has taught you about investments and Epic Investment Battles. Investment is not only performed for personal merit such as fame and honour, but also as a national strategic consideration. Try to save in order to be an investor who will one day have a stake in the country.
Step 8 : Merchant Class Drills
Complete 6 of the drill quests.
Drills can be repeated. you will obtain a Purchase Order depending on the product of the quest you have finished.
Last Step: Voyager School's Commerce Course Graduation Exam
Bear in mind that 120 days to complete the exam seem plenty of days, but the trip is from Pisa to Ragusa, then to Antwerp (London first to get sewing kits, possibly) and back to Pisa. Ambushes and other disasters can be decisive and lead to a failure.
It could be very useful to not start the exam until having 20 woad from Ragusa, giving plenty of time to complete the exam.
It is recommended to buy more units than necessary as trade goods can be lost by disasters, cannon fire and some other events.
It's finally the last school lecture, the graduation exam. The assignment is to deliver 20 barrels of Woad from Ragusa to the Shopkeeper in Antwerp and 2 Sewing Sets to the Craftsman. When finished, come back and report to me. Make sure to finish this in 120 days. (Make sure to have the Dutch language) Godspeed!
Thank you for helping me! Here's a commemorative gift for you . . . ahh, it's nothing really. Didn't you say that you have to go back early? Hurry now, please go on ahead.
Sewing Set Delivered:
Ah, the sewing set. All right everything looks in order. If I could go out, I'd get them myself, but at the moment every craftsman is busy and there was no time to order them. I'll make good on these things for you, so please wait at school in Pisa.
Woad and sewing set were delivered without incident. Now all that's left is to head back to school in Pisa shortly and report to the Instructor of the Business Course. The Shopkeeper and the Craftsman said to expect a gift but what's the meaning of that? Either way you should hurry back.
Good job! Thanks to you, the mementos arrived in time for you all to graduate. You all progressed faster than the school predicted, so the mementos were not delivered in time.\nNow it's time for the graduation ceremony and acceptance of the mementos. Please deliver the request achievement report to me as soon as you can!
